Regulatory Status
altRadar is an investigational immersive technology that has not been cleared or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. altRadar is not available for sale and is not marketed for any clinical use. The safety and effectiveness of altRadar for any use have not been established.
Our regulatory strategy contemplates submission for FDA premarket review at a future date, for indications to be determined by our research. We may explore the FDA Breakthrough Devices Program; designation has not been granted, and there is no assurance that designation will be granted or that any submission will be cleared or approved.
Relationships and Material Connections
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) require disclosure of material connections between a company and people or institutions whose statements about the company could be expected to influence others. altRadar discloses the following:
Creative partner. An Emmy-award winning VR studio is altRadar’s principal creative partner. The relationship is governed by a written agreement.
Research collaborators. altRadar is in pre-submission preparation for a feasibility study with investigators at a leading academic medical center, pending finalization of the sponsored research agreement and institutional review. Specific institutional and investigator names will be disclosed on this page when those agreements are finalized and consent for public reference is in place.
Advisors. altRadar’s advisors, when listed publicly, receive advisory fees and/or equity options in altRadar, Inc. Specific advisor compensation arrangements are disclosed at the advisor’s bio on the Team page.
